Is putting mayonnaise in your hair good for dry,coarse hair?

I heard from a couple people that putting plain mayo in your hair and putting it in a hair cap for a while then washing it afterwards makes your hair more shiny %26amp; soft. is this true? %26amp;%26amp; do you have any other ideas that could help make my dry,coarse hair more soft and shiny?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

yogurt however, makes my dry, brittle hair really smooth %26amp; soft... it also works great as conditioner... i use the mixture of yogurt %26amp; honey

My friends and I always use mayo in our hair and afterwards it looks soft, shiney, and amazing! Just put it in your hair, wrap some plastic-wrap around it, wait 30 minutes, wash it out, and your done. Hope this helps!

well i have the same problem and i used herbal Essenes dry and damaged conditioner.i left it on for a good hour...and it made my hair really soft...but i went in a chemist today and saw something called hair tonic Vaseline ?! so anyway it was 鎷?.99.so i thought i would try it.and i do have really thick frizzy hair !!....so i washed my hair put a couple of drops of the hair tonic on my hair and brushed it through left it to dry and its perfect!! its the best thing Ive ever brought for my hair to tame the frizz...and its really soft and shiny...it does what it says on the bottle! also a friend of mine at school used to use raw egg ! bit messy but her hair was really shiny

i really dont recomend you using mayo all it does is make your hair alot more oily, i think its really nasty and mayo really stinks for me but to make your hair shinyer all you have to do is put some beer ya beer . beer makes peoples hair soft and extreamly shinny try it i hope it works for you i know because my stylist told me about it.
