If your hair is that dry then yes use it on your roots. Each time I shampoo and condition....I put the conditioner on all of my hair. I have really dry hair. I use Aussie shampoo and Moisturizing conditioner. I makes my hair feel really good. Also you could use a leave in treatment if you like. It would not harm your hair to use a hot oil treatment once a week.

don't put conditioner on the roots, your roots are dry therefore you should put some oils on them , if you want to use a conditioner i suggest you use loreal's products and i prefer a cream only small amount and rub it on to your hair that's it :D

Many people have this problem, as your roots are closest to your oil glands. The best way to treat hair that is normal up top and dry on the bottom is to shampoo only every other day - and apply conditioner only to your ends. On the "off" day, when you're not shampooing, simply rinse your hair with water and, again, apply conditioner only to ends. Other remedies for dry ends? Get a tiny trim (ask your stylist to "dust" the ends) every six to eight weeks. Make sure he/she keeps the cut under half an inch, so that growth will be apparent. Also, towel dry your hair gently (roughing it up causes ends to fray) and use your hairdryer no more than two times a week - aiming airflow down the hair shaft but never directly on ends. A deep conditioner applied (just to ends) overnight can also improve the look of the bottom of your hair. Try: Garnier Fructis Deep Fortifying Conditioner. Good luck!

If your hair roots are dry you definitely need to condition. You didn't mention if all of your hair is dry. After shampooing, apply a cream conditioner from roots to ends. Leave on for 2 to 3 minutes before rinsing in cool water. If your hair is extremely dry use a leave in conditioner too. You can also do a hot oil treatment. Avoid using any heat for a while. No blow drying, hot irons etc. Good luck, hope this helped a little.

so that it absorbs all the nutrition.

there is also a stay on conditioner.

i think the oily stuff are good for dry hair.

there's also hair treatment.

You want to condition your hair - it helps lock in moisture and reduce damage. Plus it takes the stress off your scalp.

You want to steer away from anything wax or alcohol based.

I put conditioner all over my head - from root to tip, and I stick with creme conditioner, I'm under the impression that the spray ones have alcohol - I could be wrong.

You might want to look into doing a deep conditioner or a hot oil treatment - leaving it in anywhere between 10 min to a half hour. Try doing one of those every few weeks.

I use Neutrogena's Triple Moisture line, and I like it very much. For a heavy duty deep conditioning, I use Organic Root Stimulator's Hair Mayonnaise. I'm actually looking into Carol's Daughter hair care line as well (Jada Pinkett Smith uses their hair care and her hair looks fantastic)

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

you apply all over but massage your scalp with the oils
