i was wondering if i can leave in a thin layer of herbal essences straight conditioner in my hair, then blow dry it to make my hair straight, will that work or just not do anything?

I use that exact same shampoo, and I would say no. Herbal Essences has some awesome straight styling products that would work so much better. I'd try those. When you leave some of the conditioner in, the small amount of film can build up on your scalp, possibly giving you dander. Also, if you used your straightener, the layer might possibly stick to the hot plates and make them lose their straightening effect. You'd be better off trying the straight styling products. nooo! your hair would be thick and oily, blow dry it dry, and then flat iron it

If not,i don't really think that's a good idea.

conditioners are oily so the oil will make ur hair over-heat and the straightness wont last long...will get all puffy after awhile

It'll work, I've tried it. Only, it makes your hair feel really bad and oily. Also, you'll have to wash it soon because it doesn't feel that great. It gets kind of sticky after a while. If you want straight hair, buy a hair straightner. They work great with the Herbal Essence Pin-Straight Shampoo and Conditioner.

it will make it really greasy. They make sprays/creams to apply after straighten it that helps keep it straight and tame fly aways. You could also use biosilk before but don't over due it because it will make your hair greasy.

Unless it's a conditioner specifically meant to leave in your hair without rinsing, you need to rinse it out. If you don't, it'll be nasty, almost greasy feeling. There are kinds (Paul Mitchell for one) that are meant to be left in, but otherwise, gotta rinse it out!

no dont it will make ur hair nasty greasy~but u can purchase some spray leave in conditioners like Aussie has a gr8 one you spray on after washing and leave it in try some glass for frizz control or get a ladder down to keep it straight at a salon id personally go to Sally's and they can give u a few ideas~~~~~~~~

I personelly choose not to because your hair becomes greesy looking and it feels greesy and when you blow ry and straigten it.my hair becomes kind of sticky feeling.so I'D HAVE TO SAY NO.hope i helped%26lt;33

NO you can't do that. It'll damage your hair horribly.

Use a straightening balm or serum before you blowdry to make it straight (Paul Mitchell Super Skinny is great).

no use a product like bedhead control freak step for spray to straighten you hair.

also conair has a brush shaped like a sraightener that you use while blow drying

Alot of leave in conditioners ingredients aren't any different to regular conditioners. So yeah. it's fine.. i do it all the time, just wash your hair every night so you don't get build up.
