I like my hair pin straight, and in the mornings after it's been washed, I can't get it entirely dry and straight because I can't get all the moisture out with the blowdryer. Is there a quick, easy way I can get it straight and dry? (I do have a nice ceramic flatiron, but it doesn't respond well with the heat and moisture the blowdryer leaves.)

It also seals the hair cuticle allowing your hairs natural moisture to lock in so you dont get that dry dull look. You can use a wet to dry flat iron as well, but it is recommened that you dry your hair a bit before hand. a ceramic iron will FRY your hair if it isn't totally dry first.
blow dry in all directions. bend at the waist and blow the underneath and top. do your side bends to get the sides and crown. grab the blow dryer by the part that air comes out (not the handle) and blow dry in little circles all over to make sure the roots are dry.
make sure you use a styling creme on dry hair before flat ironing. (the smoke you see when ironing will be the product and not your hair.) if it smells like burning hair - it probably is. if it smells like product - it probably is.
