I have very dry hair and I would like my hair to be slightly wet..(as in not totally greasy or drenched with gel)...in fact I hate gel or mousse or any of those products...My ideal situation is when I take like little water in my palm and run the water on my hair (I wear my hair back...its medium to long for guys)..i love that refreshing look....Except for carrying water around, is there anything out there that might help? Someone said like coconut oil but I can't stand the smell. Any help would be really appreciated!!

I have very long hair (Norton's not a guy) I recently tried a shampoo and conditioner called Biosilk. I had very postive results.
The previous answer was also correct, nutrition and general health can have an effect on hair and fingernails. If your hair is dry and your fingernails are apt to crack or break easily your problem may be your diet or general health and not your hair.
As to things you can put on your hair to make it shine, they all tend to attract dust and dirt.
A good shampoo and conditioner would be a place to start. My regular shampoo is Pantene and I use their conditioner and leave in on for five minutes before rinsing. My hair always shines.

I once had a friend that had a tiny canister of hair wax that worked... It sounds retarded but it did look cool...
It is just like a soft wax, almost like the texture of Vick's Vapor Rub... but without the scent...
You just take a little bit and rub it on your finger tips and then rub it on the tips of your hair or however much you want... and it will stay put...
And the best part is that it wont drip if you sweat alot...
