What to do with super dry hair?

Okay - I totally fried my hair with bleach. I know, next time I'll go to a salon. We've trimmed a lot of it off, but now I have "COTTON CANDY" hair. It's so dry and if I pull it straight up, it stays there!! I just started doing protein packs once a week, but need a MOISTURIZING remedy that I can just pack on daily or weekly that will work a miracle. Otherwise, it's chop, chop time. Willing to make own, or buy whatever it takes.

Many thanks, no bald jokes please, I feel bad enough! :-)

There is two products that you could use. One is called Biosilk and the other is Chi Silk Infusion. They both are excellent in moisterizing the hair. You run it through after you wash it and leave it and it should help. Good luck.

you should try Garnier Fructis shampoo. The bottles are green, buy the one for dry and unmanageable hair. This should help out.

Ooo, been there and done that one.

I'd recommend a conditioner which is called (don't freak) Henna and Placenta. It's a really deep conditioner and it works VERY well. If you can't find it at the drugstore try a beauty supply place like Sally's. You can leave it on your hair and slightly heat treat it by a low heat hair dryer while it sits. It will leave your hair very moisturized and soft. You can also find a good conditioner that isn't too greasy or thick and put a little on before you go to bed and leave it in as a treatment during the night like Aussie or perhaps a salon brand that's meant for deep conditioning.

Unfortunately, you (and I) have learned the hard way home highlighting and bleaching kits are bad for your hair. You may just have to wait it out till it grows or cut it.

Don't fret too much. Shorter hairstyles are "in" and if you need to cut the burned stuff off go find a hairstyle book and go for a "new you." Plus, short hair is usually easier to style. I love mine.

Good Luck!
