First off.....

1) Wash your hair with a mild shampoo.

2) Use daily cream rinse - it prevents the frizzies better than a regular conditioner.

3) Use a deep conditioner at least once a week.

4) Always rinse your hair with cool water after you rinse out your hair conditioner. It seals the hair shaft and makes it shiny and not frizzy.

5) Let your hair dry naturally whenever possible, but if you must blow-dry, use a spray on protector to style your hair first and put the dryer on the coolest setting. Never use a brush when styling if your hair is still wet, as it not only causes split ends, but makes hair frizzier. Instead, use a wide toothed comb.

6) Finish with a styling pomade, it calms the hair and prevents frizzies, and adds a perfect sheen and finish to your styled hair.

mayonaise just makes its gross. you should try Inner home by Icon. its the best.. you can get it at some salons. fairly cheap too.. like 15 dollars for a bottle. lasts a while and it works great.

i use a spray on oil called P.M. Night Repair, from Sally Beauty in the African hair section. The directions say to use it at night to deep condition, but i spray it on after the shower every day. i DONT use conditioner in the shower, which sounds scary, but i think it gets into the cuticle and makes my hair more frizzy. so i just use clairol super straight shampoo and spray on the oil after the shower. my usually frizzy hair turns out like silk (almost). you may have to try it for a few days to determine how much to use. if you use too much it will be really greasy looking and hard to dry. to little and it will still be frizzy. find the right amount for you...
