with the dry hair... i would say use someting that is a good conditioner. an example would be olive oil lotion for hair which i use. its heathy and acts like a serum... isn't that greasy. there are some oils for the hair you can get from indian restaurants. they are very effective. for the skin... i think go with something like aveeno body lotion or baby lotion. also if u are taking a bath... u might wanna mix a little bit of oil in ur water. oil and water don't really mix but it'll give u that smooth feeling when u get out of the water.

Dry skin is easier to remedy that dry hair because, contrary to hair, skin is always being renewed. On this note, any body cream (Dove, Aveeno, etc.) will work well - simply apply after your shower while the skin is still humid to seal in the moisture.
As for your dry hair, you might want to invest in some higher-end products. Not only are they of better quality, but they are more concentrated so a little goes a long way. Redken or Pantene Restoravies have very good shampoos and conditioners for dry hair. Do use a towel to wrap your hair after your shower. This will blot away all the water and chemicals that would otherwise remain in your hair. Apply leave-in creams such as FHI Heat Hot Sauce and CHI Silk Infusion. Limit the use of hot tools for styling.
