I am mixed with black and white so my hair likes to flip flop from straight to nappy. But My hair is always dry and I just cut my hair but know I want it to grow back healthy. What Should I do?
If I have really dry hair what would be the right chemical to put in it?
Dont go out and buy anything expensive.
First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)
Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)
Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)
Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short
Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!
The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower
You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences "clean happy" conditioner.
When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo %26amp; condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years
You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

If your hair is already dry - the last thing you need to do is add chemicals to it!!!
You need to look for a really good moisturizer and continue using it until you have healthy hair again.

well it all depends on what you do to your hair, if you straighten it or use a flatiron on your hair everyday, don't do it as often. Also if you wash your hair everyday, try washing it every other to put natural oils and stuff back into your hair, it may sound disgusting (or not), but it worked for me.

when you wash your hair use shampoo and conditioner every time. and then maybe try some leave in conditioner for after you brush your hair, then blow dry or let it air dry and it should be softer.

I would suggest cholesterol treatements. (your local beauty supply store should carry it) it is GREAT for dry hair it is highly moisturising. just buy some and cover your hair in it. even massage it into your scalp you could also comb it into your hair if you wanted then you can dry it for 15 mins with a dryer or put a cap on your head and let it set 15-20 minutes then rinse

Condition, condition, condition!
I can't say whether you're hair will be straight, curly, wavy, etc as a result, but I've found a good conditioner is the best for keeping difficult hair HEALTHY.
For example, I use a good, rich daily conditioner every time I shampoo, and once a week I'll slather on a deep conditioner, wrap it in plastic wrap, then a towel (your body heat helps the conditioner penetrate the hair shaft), and leave in for 30-45 minutes before rinsing. It's made my fine, oily-scalp/dry, fragile hair incredibly strong, full, and shiny! I'd recommend it to anyone. Good luck!!!

I don't know about black hair, but honey is really good for your hair. And much better than any chemicals. Wet your hair, put lots of honey all through it and leave on for about 1/2 hour. It really revives hair. It's got to work on yours too. And honey treatments you can do anytime as often as you want or feel the need.
Good luck.

In addition to a good conditioner after shampooing, pour a puddle of cheap olive oil in the palm of your hand and rub it onto the bristles of a boar-bristle brush. Then comb through your hair several times being careful to coat your hair. Do this BEFORE shampooing.
I was told to do this by the hair extensionist to keep my human hair extensions healthy. When I stopped wearing extensions I tried it on my own dry brittle hair as it growed out %26amp; it worked wonders!
Good luck with growing yours out.
