So I got a wrap and I really wanted a doobie wrap but I had to pay extra. So how can I do a doobie wrap on dry hair so I won't take my hair color out? Or do it with wetting the center with a spray bottle?

How can you do a doobie wrap on dry hair.?

Doobie Wrap

You can't doobie wrap dry hair. You will have to wet it first. i usually do it after I shampoo %26amp; condition my hair

Roller set your hair. (wet set) plastic rollers with the vented barrel is needed.

Dry under a hooded dryer or you can use a blow dryer but it takes longer.

Take out rollers.

Then comb or brush your hair in a wrap. Smoothing your hair as your go around.

Leave wrapped hair in for a 3 to 4 hours

Then unwrap it.

Loose curls.

How can you do a doobie wrap on dry hair.?

yeaaa.

How can you do a doobie wrap on dry hair.?

To do the roller wrap set, also know as the doobie, you will need to roller set your hair, dry it under a hooded dryer, take the rollers out, then comb/brush your hair around in a wrap). Leave it wrapped for a while and when you comb it down, you will have big loose wavy curls with lots of body.

How can you do a doobie wrap on dry hair.?

Well my fiance` is black so let me tell you what she does. She parts her hair like she going to put it in four ponytails two in front and two in back. Then she takes then she takes the front two and brush the forward and takes the back two and brush them backwards thus leaving a horizontal part from ear to ear. Then she takes the back and brushes the whole thing to the left until it reaches the front then she take the whole front and brushes it to til it reaches the back and continues brushing around in a circle til' is completely "wrapped" I believe the term is. NO WATER but she does use oil sheen or Extra Virgin Olive Oil that she has put in a spray bottle.
DNahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18354426009191673003noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7531080985114170466.post-49815687087247314532010-06-20T05:45:00.003-07:002010-06-20T05:45:49.155-07:00How to get shiny hair?? Whats the best shampoo even if expensive for dry curly hair?????
Help I have curly dry hair that I dye blonde ... Ive tried alot of products from bed head, sebastians laminates, matrix sleek, matrix biolage, dove, frizz ease....I need some help and relief Even if you any good hair serums will help????

How to get shiny hair?? Whats the best shampoo even if expensive for dry curly hair?????

I use Pantene Smooth and Sleek. It smooth down the cuticle and makes my hair really smooth and shiny. Also, another tip is that if you rinse your hair in cold water after you wash it, it will make it shinier.

Since you color your hair and you said that it's dry, you should use a deep conditioner at least once a week. One that is really good is 3 Minute Miracle by Aussie.

How to get shiny hair?? Whats the best shampoo even if expensive for dry curly hair?????

Kenra has a great shine product. It's pricey but it's worth it. It is a serum.

How to get shiny hair?? Whats the best shampoo even if expensive for dry curly hair?????

Nexxus brand shampoo and conditioner!!!! My stylist put me on it because my hair was so unruly and it really helps! The shampoo is called Therappe, and the conditioner is called Humectress!

How to get shiny hair?? Whats the best shampoo even if expensive for dry curly hair?????

It really depends on your hair but as a fellow curly haired person, what I do every now and then is just put a few drops of esential oil into a ton of olive oil and rub the whole thing into my hair then put a towel over my pillow and sleep with it in. The next morning I just make sure I've gotten it all out when I shampoo and put in some Pantene spray on conditioner/detangler. If I really need a deep conditioner I mix an avocado with olive oil and mayonase and use it as a hair mask. All I have to do is wet my hair, put the avocado gunk in it, put on a shower cap, leave it to sit for 15 minutes, and rinse it out. This takes a bit more time to rinse so I sugest it for weekends only. I hope this works on your hair, good luck!

How to get shiny hair?? Whats the best shampoo even if expensive for dry curly hair?????

i have coarse curly hair and i use biosilk and use a small amout and disribute evenly troughout the hair. its an expensive product but will last a long time. it works really well if you straighten your hair with a flat iron. (the t3 flat iron is the best)

How to get shiny hair?? Whats the best shampoo even if expensive for dry curly hair?????

The best shampoo for curly hair, (and conditioner and gel for that matter) is from a company called DevaConcepts, and the line is Deva Curl.

The shampoo is designed for on-scalp use only after you have put the conditioner on your midshaft and ends. You rinse everything, and you're done. The theory behind only conditioning your ends is that curly hair is naturally dryer than other hair types. By washing the ends to much it only makes it worse, so by just rinsing it, you are helping to maintain the hair's natural moisturizing properties.
DNahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18354426009191673003noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7531080985114170466.post-77627063639293155242010-06-20T05:45:00.002-07:002010-06-20T05:45:34.068-07:00Best product for a wetish look for dry hair?
Best product for a wetish look for dry hair? I went to a solon and they suggested that I use Biologe. It completely turned my hair around. You can only buy the real thing in the salons so dont be fooled if you see some in the stores. Its about $20.00 for the set and they have styling products also. It smells fantastic and clean. It is the best I have ever used!

Whats the best shampoo and conditioner for dry hair??

If price is not a concern, then you should look at salon products, as they are usually of a better quality. Matrix works well, but there are several salon brands out there.

If you're looking for something cheaper and easy to find in any store, Pantene works pretty well for me. I use the 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner as my shampoo (red words on a white bottle,) and then the mosturizing conditioner (for curly hair) on top of that, after I shampoo. I find that there's a -drastic- difference in my hair when using this compared to any other cheap brands. It's the only grocery store quality product that I really like and that doesn't totally destroy my hair.

It can also be helpful if you can try not to wash your hair every day, because that saps the moisture out of it. If you can get by with it, try to wash it only a few times a week. And try to avoid blowdrying and brushing too much.

Here's a page that lists several salon quality hair care products. http://www.hairexpo.biz/

Whats the best shampoo and conditioner for dry hair??

i just tried sunsilk and its really good!!!
DNahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18354426009191673003noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7531080985114170466.post-33616162116612530782010-06-20T05:45:00.000-07:002010-06-20T05:45:03.931-07:00My hair is thin and frizzy and curly... I blow dry my hair once a week do u suggest i should do the rebonding

I love natural hair. Some times I want a straight look. I am using bodiphier.www.freshlookhair is the website. It閳ユ獨 a natural relaxer that閳ユ獨 made out on vitamins, minerals, water, and etc.. I love it because it doesn閳ユ獩 burn, and no chemicals is added. It閳ユ獨 self neutralize. I can scratch my hair the same day and not worry about burns. It閳ユ獨 super soft. It doesn閳ユ獩 break the bonds in your hair. It causes your hair to straighten by 85% which allows you to keep your natural hair texture. You can wear your natural hair because bodiphier loosens the bonds in your hair instead of breaking them like traditional perms and relaxers. Say goodbye to split ends because my hair is healthy. If I want to wear a straight look, just blow dry and press your hair. It閳ユ獨 very silky when you go for the straight look. It will not frizz up in humidity. I am taking hair vitamins, natural relaxers, and natural products like jojoba oil. I plan to try products like carols daughter for my hair www.carolsdaughter.com

My hair is thin and frizzy and curly... Kinda getting sleepy now, if I don't get back to you tonight, I will soon. I have curly hair and I have picked mad skills about hair from modeling %26amp; acting! You can get it at drugstores like Cvs, Rite-aid, and Walgreens. Basically almost anywhere. My friend used to have the same hair problem so she switched to this. She had ALOT of frizz action going on with her hair girl lol. Garnier-fructis is made specifically for hair that is frizzy and needs some help to be anti-frizzy. You can still use it if you dont like straight hair because your hair will still be curly. Go to the website and get a free sample delivered to you, that way you can try it out before you actually spend money on it. I dont remember the website but try www.garnier-fructis.com. Hoped i helped you some girl!
DNahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18354426009191673003noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7531080985114170466.post-92074927876186901792010-06-20T05:44:00.003-07:002010-06-20T05:44:45.192-07:00Can I spray Sun In in my dry hair?
I know that you are supposed to spray it in your damp hair, but will it work in dry hair to?

Can I spray Sun In in my dry hair?

Yes you can, I spritzed mine around the front and sides, then I stayed out in the sun for hours, I kept spraying water on myself to keep cool, when I went inside finally, my hair was almost white, from constant wetting and drying of the sun in. so be careful.....

Can I spray Sun In in my dry hair?

probably

Can I spray Sun In in my dry hair?

i do it all the time....my brown hair is strawberry blonde now that i use it once a month!
DNahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18354426009191673003noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7531080985114170466.post-34856105972268455502010-06-20T05:44:00.002-07:002010-06-20T05:44:30.965-07:00Do you know any home remedies for dry damaged hair?
I straighten my hair everyday and it has become very dry, frizzy , damaged, and dead. Are there any home remedies that i can use to make my hair healthy and shiny again?

Also what is the best shampoo and conditioner for me to use?

Do you know any home remedies for dry damaged hair?

Mayonaisse, olive oil.

Shampoo and conditon with Neutrogena Triple Moisture.

Stop straightening your hair everyday and do it twice a week only

Do you know any home remedies for dry damaged hair?

Wendy's mayonnaise...no seriously try it, it has worked wonders for me...

Do you know any home remedies for dry damaged hair?

you can try mayo its good for a deep conditional and some people use eggs to wash there hair with good luck

Do you know any home remedies for dry damaged hair?

2 egg whites with little olive oil and massage it into your scalp, then wash and rinse well. bed head products have a shampoo and conditioner for frizzy hair. usually using a lots of conditioning helps your hair the best.

Do you know any home remedies for dry damaged hair?

get regular trims and deep condition it once or twice a week. you can buy deep conditioners or you can make them your self. Start using products in your hair that put a heat shield around your hair and you should either use nexxus humectress shampoo and condish. or therma silk shampoo and condish. home remedies are mayonnaise hair masks and olive oil treatments. then use a wide tooth come in your hair and try to avoid brushing it when it's wet as it is more likely to get damaged.

Do you know any home remedies for dry damaged hair?

You also need to eat healthy-hair foods so that your hair starts off as healthy as it can be. And you should make sure that your straightener is professional quality. A professional quality straightener produces more heat. More heat straightens your hair more quickly. Straightening your hair more quickly does less damage to the shaft.

I like to alternate Infusium 23 with Pantene. Stick Straight is also a good product if you're willing to spend a litte more, you can only get it in salons.

Do you know any home remedies for dry damaged hair?

Believe it or not, one of the best is just old fashioned

Mayonaise. Slather it on...wait an hour. Use regular

shampoo and condition. Fabulous.

Do you know any home remedies for dry damaged hair?

Avocado Hair Treatment:

Mash 1 Ripe avocado in a bowl, then work it through your shampooed, wet hair. Leave it on for about 30 minutes. You can use a plastic bag (like grocery bag) to cover it to keep it from drying out and it adds some heat. Then rinse it out (a lot).

Here's a protein shampoo you can try:

I know it sounds yucky, but it's good for our hair!

Take a fresh egg and beat it in a bowl-like you're going to scramble it for cooking (but don't put anything else in it). Wet your hair, and rub half of the egg mixture in it, then rinse out, and repeat.

Want to make your hair really shiny? Use a couple tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a pitcher of water and use it as a final rinse.

Do you know any home remedies for dry damaged hair?

Massage olive oil, once month, well into the hair, Cover your head with a hot towel, and leave for several hours. Then shampoo as normal

A handful hibiscus leaves grounded to a paste with a teaspoon of shikakai is wonderful shampoo and conditioner

Hair is continuously growing and is being shed simultaneously. In the shower, leave your conditioner in, comb your hair, and go get the towell from the dryer. Wrap your hair in the towell, the heat will hold in the moisture, and leave it for about 15 minutes. Then get back in the shower and rinse it out. You will love the results! And make sure to get a good quality conditioner..you get what you pay for :)

Good remedy for dry hair!?

Oil your hair and shamppo it off after one or two hours

Good remedy for dry hair!?

why dont you try bathing as often and try the best conditioner you could find...?or maybe you could stop using hair products that may be the cause of your damaged hair...

Good remedy for dry hair!?

Go to Sallys and buy the generic version of K-Pac-put it on, cover it with some kind of wrap (plastic wrap works) and leave it on for at least 1 hour, then rinse. I use it all the time and it's not really expensive.

Good remedy for dry hair!?

There IS hair mayonnaise, which is made specifically for hair, not sandwiches. Conditioners made for African American hair, not washing out your conditioner when you wash your hair, NOT WASHING YOUR HAIR EVERYDAY, not using heat styling, olive oil, coconut oil....

Good remedy for dry hair!?

yes i have the same problem and have a lot of experience and leave a little bit of conditioner after a shower to protect and make it look silky but if u have thin hair or not much dont do this because you could lose hair, but u can also but hot oil capsules or even research and make your own! they work pretty well. also u can buy almond oil or just research what are the good oils and u can buy them in a supermarket instead of paying for brand names

alsoooo dont wash your hair everyday !! seriously it is the most important thing... every two days at least and u can add only conditioner everyday tho

hope it helps

Good remedy for dry hair!?

The best I have found is Paul Mitchell's "The conditioner" or the generic brand of the same thing. Works for me.

Good remedy for dry hair!?

break a vitamin E pill and add it to ur shampoo and conditioner. vitamin E helps hair repair it'self and akes it shiny and luscious,

Good remedy for dry hair!?

Bumble and Bumble makes a great hair mask specifically for dehydration. Ojon oil along with the shampoo and conditioner (and the B%26amp;B once or twice a month) keeps my hair silky. My hair is very thick, processed, and I straighten it constantly so if a conditioner works for me its means it is really really good!!

Good remedy for dry hair!?

i have the same problem...

-get a good conditioner (i like pro-v ice shine conditioner)

-use a shampoo that doesn't strip your hair of natural oils (i like mane n tail)

-use a little leave in conditioner when your hair is dry (i use garnier fructise length and strengh)

-instead of washing your hair, you can get away with washing it every other day and in between, jsut rinse your hair with water.

Good luck!

Good remedy for dry hair!?

I would say to prevent it from getting more dry, stay away from hair spray and too many styling products number 1. If you lighten your hair, that really does a number on it too. I would say to get it moist again use a panteen proV conditioner, and then even spray a bit of leave in conditioner into your hair once in a while too. If your hair does not get too greesy, avoid washing it every day too. Don't use real Mayonaise. That is gross, there are eggs in it, and on Tyra the experts said it does not do any more than a good conditioner. Hair products are maid for your hair...not to taste good on a sandwich.

Good remedy for dry hair!?

check the links below for natural homemade beauty tips to:-- Dry hair / Oily hair/ Splitends / Fruit Packs for scalp

http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-gnA4Lmo_b...
DNahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18354426009191673003noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7531080985114170466.post-69820022041887127892010-06-20T05:44:00.000-07:002010-06-20T05:44:00.737-07:00Hi do i apply Matrix colorsync to wet or dry hair?
i have had my hair dyed with this product before and i love it,so conditioning, but could someone preferably an experienced hairdresser tell me how to apply as i can't remember how the hairdesser done it,do i wash my hair first or just apply to dry hair, also my hair is dark brown and i bought colorsync 4RV medium brown red violet so what colour will it turn out? thank u

Hi do i apply Matrix colorsync to wet or dry hair?

Since it is a demi-permanent line I would apply it to dry hair to obtain optimal results! As the color oxidizes on dry hair you can see places you have saturated and those that you have not! Here is the link to the matrix line! I dont know what level your hair is naturally so I cannot say what the color will turn out looking like! If your hair is darker than a level 4 then you wont receive much of result maybe just a hint of red violet hue! I also dont know if your hair pulls warm, etc! Ive colored my hair 4rv (not the colorsync I use Goldwell colorance when I use a semi-permanent) before it is a pretty color! Im curious how you got ahold of this colorline since you are not a licensed stylist... Sounds like a case of diversion to me!
DNahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18354426009191673003noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7531080985114170466.post-28524040363019288532010-06-20T05:43:00.002-07:002010-06-20T05:43:43.435-07:00How do u get rid of frizzy/dry hair?
my hair is always breaking and i don't know what to do besides shampooing it. And if i don't put gel in my hair.. it will get really dry/frizzy!!

How do u get rid of frizzy/dry hair?

Get a good leave in conditioner like Aussies leave in conditioner or Pantene has a great one too.

How do u get rid of frizzy/dry hair?

The best thing would be to go to a salon or a beauty store at the mall and talk to someone who can look at your hair. Shampoos from Wal-Mart and such aren't going to be good enough to *really* help your hair.

How do u get rid of frizzy/dry hair?

My Hair Is Frizzy when I get out of the shower and it looks curly but It goes away ONLY if I straighten My Hair, I have a really good hair straightener that's professional quality, I would suggest getting a hair straightening iron and when your hair dries after you wash it, Straighten your hair using a comb too and finish with some straightening product/creme..

How do u get rid of frizzy/dry hair?

Try deep conditioning it once a week.

How do u get rid of frizzy/dry hair?

The absolute best is a product called Silk Drops from FX Specila Effects. You cn get it at any Walgreens, CVS, etc. Its the best! You'll love it!

How do u get rid of frizzy/dry hair?

I have dry and frizzy hair, but I straighten my hair out with a good Chi hair straightener, as the other person suggested above also. It seems to help. Before I straighten my hair out, I put a really great hair product called "Aussie Leave-In Conditioner + Anti Freeze Cream". While my hair is still damp, I put that in it, then once it's dry I straighten my hair out. After I straighten my hair out, I put a little bit more of the product on the ends of my hair where it is the driest.

I hope this helps you out! There is hope for you hair....it just takes some experimenting. =) So, don't get frustrated! Your hair is probably beautiful. =)
DNahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18354426009191673003noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7531080985114170466.post-75096588851306838982010-06-20T05:43:00.001-07:002010-06-20T05:43:26.369-07:00What's the best treatment for very dry summer hair? Does V05 Hot Oil work?
My hair turns to straw in the summer. I only wash and condition every other day, or even every 2 days to let the natural oils kick in but my hair is still dry. I'm looking for an inexpensive treatment - does the V05 Hot Oil Treatment work?

What's the best treatment for very dry summer hair? Does V05 Hot Oil work?

While it is good that you are only washing your hair every 2 days, you should lightly condition it everyday. The best deep conditioner that I have found is Redken's Smooth Down Butter Treat. (about $14 for a large bottle) Don't use V05 Hot Oil treatment... it's a waste of your $2.89.

What's the best treatment for very dry summer hair? Does V05 Hot Oil work?

Truly dry hair is caused by heat and the elements, so the first step is prevention: Try to avoid using overly hot dryers and heat-styling implements, and wear a hat or scarf if you're going to be exposed to sun or wind for a long time (at the beach or skiing, for instance). Don't wash your hair every day, but do shampoo often enough to remove dirt and buildup, about two or three times a week.

iVillage has tons of information for fighting dry hair. Instead of leaving it on 5 minutes though, I wrapped my head in a warm towel and left it in for about 20. Then rinse with cool water and let air dry. My ends get really dry especially so I've gotten in the habit of about once a week putting the deep conditioner on my ends dry and sleeping with my hair in a bandana. Then I just rinse and condition all my hair in the shower the next morning.
DNahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18354426009191673003noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7531080985114170466.post-37324803133346990812010-06-20T05:43:00.000-07:002010-06-20T05:43:09.713-07:00Do you have experience with a good moisturizer for dry hair?
I wash my hair every other day with Pantene Pro-V shampoo and conditioner. The first day, my hair is too dry, the second day it's too oily at the roots, but the ends are still dry (and brittle and split-ended.) After I shampoo and condition again, the dry-oily cycle repeats. I have naturally straight hair, and I want it to be moisturized, smooth, sleek and not weighed down. How can I achieve this?

Do you have experience with a good moisturizer for dry hair?

You need to use a good shampoo. Pantene has tons of wax that initially coats your hair and then makes it oily. The best shampoo for soft shiny hair is Redkens All Soft shampoo and conditioner.

It may seem that professional shampoos are more expensive, however, they have less water(check out the Pantene bottle, I bet water is one of the top 3 ingredients!)

If you have long hair you should have a wide tooth comb in the shower so that you can comb the conditioner through. This will save you a bunch of money on conditioner, will make your hair feel great because the conditioner will completely coat your hair and it will take about half the time to comb out after.

Do you have experience with a good moisturizer for dry hair?

Try mashing up some avocado and then letting it sit in your hair for awhile. Avocado has really lovely natural oils...after you are done..rinse it out and shampoo as normal.

Do you have experience with a good moisturizer for dry hair?

Sunsilk, which used to be Thermasilk, makes a great leave in spray conditioner. You can use it on wet or dry hair. It leaves my hair soft, shiny and it even mends the split ends. It's very light and it smells really good! I like to spray it on after I towel dry my hair. I also use it on bad hair days. Just spritz it on, fluff and it looks like I just shampooed.

I hope you try it!

Do you have experience with a good moisturizer for dry hair?

Pantene works well for me, and I have dry, frizzy hair. It sounds like you need something serious. I have found that Fudge products work GREAT. I stopped using them because they are expensive. But I would swear by them! You would have to find a salon that carried Fudge. I would by the conditioner AND the spray leave-in conditioner. You could try mayonaise (wash with hot water, mayo head, wrap with plastic wrap, leave it there for a half hour, wash it out) but it's REALLY hard to shampoo out. It worked for me but I gave up doing it because it was hard to shampoo out.

Do you have experience with a good moisturizer for dry hair?

Once a week I use a clarifying shampoo (neutrogena has a nice one, but lots of brands out there make them - in a variety of price ranges). This gets rid of weird build-up and makes my normal routine happier the rest of the week.

Biolage has a really great Conditioning Balm: http://www.matrix.com/products/biolage/h... (their normalizing shampoo might be great for you as well). They cost a bit more than what you are currently using, but i know a very little goes a long way with this conditioner - it lasts me forever.

Any shampoo/conditioner combo will work better for you if you make sure that you a. rinse extremely well - and finish with a cool water rinse, and use a clarifying shampoo occasionaly (once a week). Also you may try to just apply the conditioner to the ends and not the roots every other day.

Good luck - I hope this helps.
DNahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18354426009191673003noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7531080985114170466.post-69073443491555178542010-06-20T05:42:00.003-07:002010-06-20T05:42:54.471-07:00What is the best way to blow-dry hair straight?
Whenever I try to blow-dry my hair, it becomes very poofy and I can't get it straight. What blow-drying technique works for you?

PS -- I don't want to use a straightener.

What is the best way to blow-dry hair straight?

Round Brush.. BIg one.. check sally's ( i think boars hair ) then hold the blow dryer close to ur hair.. it takes a while.. also try some type of setting lotion or somethin on ur hair ....but using a blow dryer is bad for ur hair and will give u split ends. I used to do this for years.... u have to press the heat close to ur hair and hold the round brush close to the dryer.. if u blow the fuse u might have to keep resetting it..sometimes I used to use two blow dryers.. cuz one would keep blowing out.. (overheating?)

What is the best way to blow-dry hair straight?

beauty solan

What is the best way to blow-dry hair straight?

WELL STAIGHTENERS WORK THE BEST BUT USE LIKE A BRUSH AND WHEN U ARE BLOW DRYING YOU HAIR HOLD THE BLOW DRYER RIGHT BY YOUR HAIR AND BURSH YOUR HAIR IT WORKS FOR MY SISTER!

AND BUY THE NEW HERBAL ESSENCE HAIR STIGTENER IT HELPS.

What is the best way to blow-dry hair straight?

O well then i don't know any thing else other then the hot comb or straighting comb but any way i get 2 points hahahaha .......

What is the best way to blow-dry hair straight?

Use a wide flat brush and then when fully dry apply a little balm any brand and it will flatten out.

What is the best way to blow-dry hair straight?

When I Blow dry my hair straight, I use a straightening serum... Not the ones that are lotiony... Then I take a regular brush and do one strand at a time. My Sister-in-law thought that i used a straightener the first time she saw me do it.

What is the best way to blow-dry hair straight?

just blow dry your hair normally, then just use a flat iron to get rid of the poofy-ness.

easy and simple.

What is the best way to blow-dry hair straight?

uh... i tried that. i think it only works if you have the slightest of wave. THEN you can make ur hair straight 8-l

What is the best way to blow-dry hair straight?

Do you mean you don't want to use a chemical straightener? There are some out there--Rusk's Radical Anti Curl--that are very gentle and work well with even Caucasian hair.

Otherwise, I would recommend a styling straightener like KMS's Flat Out Straightening Creme. You use it on your clean wet hair. Apply small amounts all over then comb thru to distribute. Blow dry your hair to remove excess moisture but not till completely dry--try holding the blow dryer at the roots and work your way down toward the ends to prevent frizzing.

Finally, take a small section at a time (even try pinning the rest out of the way) and using a giant round brush--4 or 5 inches in diameter at least, and wind it all the way to roots snugly. Then heat it with the blow dryer. Continue until all of the hair is bone dry.

You can finish with an anti humidity spray. KMS makes one, too. If this sounds too difficult, try asking your stylist to show you how step by step. Have them do one half of your hair and you do the other while they watch/coach you. If he or she won't or can't---find a new stylist!

Good luck!

PS: All of the above products are available at salons.

What is the best way to blow-dry hair straight?

Ok well i suggest that you go to walgreens, and get this brush that claps together and it is a bristle brush on both sides and all you have to do is get hair between it, blow dry how pretty close to it, and pull down. It works wonders!
DNahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18354426009191673003noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7531080985114170466.post-72439599927260366732010-06-20T05:42:00.002-07:002010-06-20T05:42:38.731-07:00Good conditioner for really curly, frizzy and dry hair?
My hair is very hard to manage and mainatain healthy because it is really curly, thick, long and dry. Does anyone know of a conditioner that works well on this type of hair and does not contain alchohal? If so what type is it? Please nothing too expensive and that is avalible at Target.

Good conditioner for really curly, frizzy and dry hair?

Garnier Fructis

Good conditioner for really curly, frizzy and dry hair?

matrix sleek work, orange container great for all types

Good conditioner for really curly, frizzy and dry hair?

you can try the Loreal Paris line I used to use it and it works pretty well there is also Sunsilk that you can get the shampoo conditioner and some leave in cream they also sell a deep conditioner you should try the one in the pink bottle called hydra t.l.c you should also have it trimmed every 4-6 weeks to help it get healthier.

Good conditioner for really curly, frizzy and dry hair?

Aussie works miracles

Good conditioner for really curly, frizzy and dry hair?

I know how u feel.. i have wavy thick hair layered and average length that turns into an afro when it gets frizzy.. which is always lol..

u should use matrix smooth and sleek look it really works on my hair and should work on yours

even better yet use matrix curl life since u have curly hair.. thats actually works better since it's stronger but safe and won't make ur hair fall out er anything

i'd recommend matrix smooth and sleek shampoo and matrix curl life conditioner

i get my stuff at CVS so u can get it any place they sell shampoo/conditioner

if that doesnt work.. then try frizz-ease from john frieda

Good conditioner for really curly, frizzy and dry hair?

OK the conditioner you use will need to be for course hair, there is this deep conditioner called cholesterol found in the African American hair products. I love it! I have very dry hair and it can get really frizzy when it wants to. I apply the conditioner and let it sit for 30 minutes twice a week. For day to day management I use a leave in conditioner on my wet hair along with an anti frizz serum and use curl cream, not gel it dries out your hair. Always use a diffuser with your hair dryer to avoid damage and shape your curls no blow them out and frizz them. All the products I use I buy at Target or drug stores and it puts me out of pocket about 20 bucks a month.

Good conditioner for really curly, frizzy and dry hair?

-Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blowdryer, a diffuser, butterfly clips, and a microfiber hair turban.

-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent. They dry out curly hair.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair. Then let your hair air dry or use a blowdryer with a diffuser.

- Devacurl products are the expensive products that are amazing for curly hair. However, I really like the garnier fructis products (found at Target) and there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites. Frizz-ease hair serum is amazing for fighting frizz.

- This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least the websites. Hope this helps!

Good conditioner for really curly, frizzy and dry hair?

Garnier Fructis Curl and Shine and or the Pantene one for curls. Also Aveda Brilliant Damage Control, Bumble and bumble leave in conditioner with frizz control, or Aussie Hair Insurance but these three are more expensive.
DNahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18354426009191673003noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7531080985114170466.post-59959591486329377652010-06-20T05:42:00.001-07:002010-06-20T05:42:22.344-07:00How would i be able to manage my wavy and dry hair? How do i get a healthy hair?

I have wave in my hair, and I have found that if I let my hair dry naturally as much as possible, it tends to feel better. Also, I turn the water temperature to as cold as i can stand before i exit the shower and rinse my hair. This helps to close the hair's cuticle and helps to prevent frizz. You might also try some leave in conditioner. My first suggestion would be to reduce your blow dryer use. I hope this helps :-)
DNahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18354426009191673003noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7531080985114170466.post-86699308834690092232010-06-20T05:42:00.000-07:002010-06-20T05:42:04.906-07:00What is the best conditioner and shampoo for dry damaged hair?
They dont have to be the same brand...cause thats kind of boring and lame...i think...but what is the best for dry and damaged hair? To beging solving this problem you want to avoid product build up by using products that contain natural ingredients.

Also avoid hot oil treatments, heavy cholesterol type conditioners, petroleum-based and silicone-based products. Also hairsprays, mousses and gels that have a high alcohol or butane content.

You will need to give your hair extra nurturing by supplying it with the necessary nutrition and moisture that it needs.

If you are out in the sun for a long period make sure your hair care product have sunscreen properties to protect your hair from the damaging affects of the UV rays. It's called Ion Crystal Clarifying Treatment %26amp; Ion Swimmer's Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner. The problem is, with the crystal treatment the instructions are a bit confusing and I don't know whether I should put the gel on my hair when it's wet or when it's dry. There are 3 different sets of instructions and I don't know which ones to follow. My hair is highlighted and the highlights turned green and all I want to do is take that green out. So, does anyone know which directions I should follow? Please help... Thank you!

I bought a crystal clarifying treatment to take green out of my hair, do i put the gel on my wet or dry hair??

I would say use the treatment on towel dried hair. If used on dry hair, it will just not be able to distribute evenly and you might end up with a patchy result. on really wet hair, it might take away the intensity of the treatment (because it is being diluted with water)

I bought a crystal clarifying treatment to take green out of my hair, do i put the gel on my wet or dry hair??

Put it on damp hair! Can somebody tell me the best way to do that?

The best way to make dry hair look normal, is?

After you wash your hair, make sure to use a conditioner for Dry/Damaged hair. Leave it in for about 3min %26amp; then rinse out about 80% of it. It helps to maintain the dryness if you leave some of the hair conditioner in.

Then lightly towel dry your hair %26amp; use some hair mousse. If your hair is really dry/frizzy, use a super hold or mega hold hair mousse.

Then lightly blow dry on "cool".

The best way to make dry hair look normal, is?

chop it all off and go dyke style

The best way to make dry hair look normal, is?

hair Gel.

The best way to make dry hair look normal, is?

add hair wax

The best way to make dry hair look normal, is?

use a rich conditioner w/ lots of moisturizer in it.

The best way to make dry hair look normal, is?

Aussie 3-minute-miracle reconstructioner conditioner

it's $2-$4 dollar (aka cheap) and it works well.

The best way to make dry hair look normal, is?

try tips on hair care and much more on this site

The best way to make dry hair look normal, is?

I have dry hair which I torture with coloring and a lot of heat styling. Still, go to your stylist and get your ends trimmed, that'll give you some healthy hair to start with without sacrificing length. Use a very moisturizing hair masque (I'm partial to Garnier Nutrisse) for dry hair once a week. Also use shampoo that is gentle and doesn't strip your hair of it's natural oils, and a very rich conditioner again, for dry hair (I'm partial to Pantene's Sleek and smooth).

Shampoo as little as possible (twice a week is recommended) but condition thoroughly every day. Also, use a leave-in conditioner to moist hair while restyling, or after the shower in general (partial to Infusium 23...a classic)

Also try some of the different glazes or gloss semi-permanent treatments, like Clairol Natural Instincts Shine treatment, I plan to use this next week so I'm not sure how well it will work.

For appearance, try a silicone based shine oil or gel...waxes and pomades can weigh hair down and eliminate the shine if you use too much. I like Citre Shine's shine spray and shine treatment, just a dollop does wonders...I also like StraightSexyHair polishing gloss. Again jut a little bit goes a long way for the finishing touch of shine to your hair
DNahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18354426009191673003noreply@blogger.com0
