How to blow-dry my hair?

I really want to blow-dry my hair properly, and I basicly know what to do, but I'm not sure what exactly to do with my hands :) I'm right-handed, so I'm not sure in which hand should I hold the brush and stuff... Please, explain the whole process to me, I'm a bit confused. Thanks!

How to blow-dry my hair?

Hold the blowdryer with your right hand, brush with left.

Take a section of hair, make sure its more horozontal than vertical. Place round bristled brush at the root RIGHT under the section of hair, with the hot air blowing downwards in the direction of hair. Brush down hair, and bring down blowdryer in the same direction (downwards) as u do so. :)

How to blow-dry my hair?

It's actually really easy....

It depends on how you want your hair blow dried (ex. straight, wavy, curled)

Frist, run mouse through damp hair. Next section off your hair and well..just blow dry..until your hair is dried and pleases you.

How to blow-dry my hair?

point the dryer at your head, turn it on, move it occasionally

How can I dry my hair with a diffuser with out it getting too puffy?

I have curly hair and need to dry it the winter and when I use a diffuser it puffy and big

How can I dry my hair with a diffuser with out it getting too puffy?

I have developed naturally curly hair with the years and I have found that the anti frizz serums work well. I also like using Infusium 23 leave in conditioner. Their products now come in many formulations...I use the "frizzologie" formulation shampoo/conditioner/leave in treatment. I think this has helped a lot. The other thing to remember is to only wash your hair every other day at the most in the winter. If my hair is suffering from bed head on day 2, I use a water bottle to dampen it enough to get the shape of the curl back. If you are finding your hair too puffy still then try drying it until it is just slightly damp and then let it air dry the rest of the way. The other thing I like to do with the diffuser if I want looser curl is to point it at my hair without actually scrunching it up inside the bowl on the diffuser or in other words I point it perpendicular to the length of the hair shaft. Good luck!!

How can I dry my hair with a diffuser with out it getting too puffy?

try putting a little serum in your hair...not too much or it will look oily. In the winter...hair does appear to dry out. you shouldn't wash your hair everyday either...it strips it of its natural oils. I would recommend washing it 1 or 2 a week...that doesnt mean you can't shower, just don't use shampoo everyday...just conditioner

How can I dry my hair with a diffuser with out it getting too puffy?

You might not be using enough product to begin w/. Don't dry it completely. Leave it just alittle wet than you normally would.

How can I dry my hair with a diffuser with out it getting too puffy?

use silicone serum on your wet hair.

apply it to the ends of your hair working upward to your roots.

you can always use it on your dry hair if you have flyaways.

I had the same problem before! but after my researches i found that most of the problems like this are because of our hair loss! I recommend you to find what ur body needs! I'm sure that the first %26amp; the best solution is to eat healthy food !!!!!!! other chemical solutions are 4 genetic dryness of hair that u can't change it!!! %26amp; i'm sure the chemical treatments can't solve these problems!

Which shamnpoo works best for dry hair?

My hair is dry with split ends. Can any of you tell me your results with these products? I was thinking of buying one of these:

Sunsilk Hydra TLC

Herbal essences

Neutrogena Triple moisture

Aussie

Garnier fructis

Suave

And do NOT reccomend any salon hair products, anything under four dollars is ok.

Which shamnpoo works best for dry hair?

I vote for Garnier fructis and Sunsilk. It works wonders for dry hair.

Which shamnpoo works best for dry hair?

Happy to hear it worked for you too.... Report It

Which shamnpoo works best for dry hair?

The aussie deep conditioner is awesome! trust me. (plus it smells really good)

Which shamnpoo works best for dry hair?

Maybe get a trim from a cheap place (I can tell you are going for the cheap) in Commercials aussie shows that girl with the frizzie hair and then after she uses it her hair is all smooth. The garnier fructis commercial always shows a girl tying knots in her hair but that shows strong hair (if that is what you are looking for) I have thin hair and suave makes my hair very naughty and my hair or gets horrid tangles. Neutrogena is really good. it is good for hair and very hydrating. hope that helps

Which shamnpoo works best for dry hair?

Pantene pro v works best

Which shamnpoo works best for dry hair?

well if you don't want to go with something professional I would recommend the Aussie or the Sunsilk they have a waxy substance in their product that helps coat the hair and in a strange way seal it so it doesn't look so dry. Every once in a while make a baking soda paste and use that to get the build up of like once a month otherwise you will end up with dull hair.

Which shamnpoo works best for dry hair?

Yes you should buy one of those. They have Sunsilk for specific hair types as well as Herbal Essences. Also, they have gels and mousses that coincide with the shampoos and conditioners, made for your hair type. Just read the labels to find the type you want.

Brushing your hair in the shower with conditioner in it also reduces split ends, I do it everytime I take a shower.

Which shamnpoo works best for dry hair?

Pantene Pro V for relaxed and natural hair

Which shamnpoo works best for dry hair?

I have the same problem. I found that if I mix up the shampoo I use my hair stays nice and silky without being too dry or too greasy. Suave for a few days and Herbal Essence for the next few. It doesn't have to be expensive, I just like to have two different types of shampoo to keep my hair from getting use to one type and over drying.

What is the best way to dry my hair?

I have shoulder length red hair and its natural form is ringlets (ie. very curly!). I love my hair but i can only seem to let it dry naturally, because when I try and blowdry it, it goes massive and almost afro-like. Frankly, I am annoyed of it being wet and waiting for it to dry. Any suggestions?

What is the best way to dry my hair?

If you buy a diffuser this will stop it happenenig - they fit on the end of your hairdryer and are universal. Also there are some great styling products.

What is the best way to dry my hair?

i dont know about drying it, but my friend has that type of hair and she uses a hair product that makes it dry a little faster... look into that, i think the brand was paul mitchell

What is the best way to dry my hair?

get a hairdryer.

What is the best way to dry my hair?

scrunch dry it. take a towel and starting at the crown scruch the hair up and pull out the moisture. work your way down to the ends. This won't completely dry your hair but will speed u the process. Godd Luck!

What is the best way to dry my hair?

i find a hairdryer helps

What is the best way to dry my hair?

go get a towel and rub it simultaeously to your hair while infront of the electric fan ..that should dry you in no time ;)

What is the best way to dry my hair?

My hair is like that too. It's always poofy and naturally curly. I usually, [when i get out of the shower],dry it a little with a towel so that it's not dripping wet. Then I flip over and put some hair gelin it. Not tooooooooooo much though. After that blow dry your hair, and don't forget to flip over, until it is more dry. Remember, only dry it enough for it not to be pooofy. Then, u should have beautiful curls!!!!! Hope you try it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is the best way to dry my hair?

Although my hair is very different from your I found this website to be most helpful. http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art4... ,Also I have found that Ionic blow dryers will dry your hair faster

What is the best way to dry my hair?

thats easy either tie it bak or put it in dreads

chicks with dreads are so so phat and they look hot too

What is the best way to dry my hair?

gel and mousse it

What is the best way to dry my hair?

do not blow dry your hair it will frizz and be a disaster just let it air dry and put some defrizzing serum in your hair and when it drys it should be pretty and less frizzy

What is the best way to dry my hair?

put frizz ease on hair then blow dry

My Yorkshire terrier has extremely dry hair and skin! Are there any natural things I can use to stop

The Dry Hair and skin are very itchy for her! Ive even used Dandruff shampoo! Is there something I can use to get the moisture back into her hair and skin?

My Yorkshire terrier has extremely dry hair and skin! Are there any natural things I can use to stop his itch?

There are many reasons for your dogs dry skin. Weather, humidity in your home, diet, shampoo being used, allergies, having been spayed/neutered,....

How old is your pet? After about 8 years of age they start losing the ability to produce oils. Are you brushing on a daily basis to increase oils? The diet should be a high quality that has Omega 3 %26amp; Omega 6 oils in it. Have you tried using a food/skin supplement such as Linatone? Soapless shampoos are the best. We use Tropiclean a natural shampoo in our srore. And never use prople shampoo as it can burn your pets skin due to the difference in the pH of the products. And of course if it persists after checking all these possibilities, consult a vet.

My Yorkshire terrier has extremely dry hair and skin! Are there any natural things I can use to stop his itch?

I would call the vet maybe and ask if there is a shampoo or something out there. As winter comes, we notice our dogs get a little more dried out. Maybe check the quality of the food you are feeding. Also, how often do you bath her?

My Yorkshire terrier has extremely dry hair and skin! Are there any natural things I can use to stop his itch?

couple drops of teatree oil into his normal puppy shampoo. It's all natural and will soothe and cure his skin. (works good for people too!!)

My Yorkshire terrier has extremely dry hair and skin! Are there any natural things I can use to stop his itch?

Dont use shampoo on your dog bath him/or her with plain water and condition only NO SOAP it drys out natural oils if you must bath rub a little unrefined coconut oil while still damp then dry off...Guaranteed or you can insult me

My Yorkshire terrier has extremely dry hair and skin! Are there any natural things I can use to stop his itch?

dandruff just gets rids of the flakes.

you should try using a shampoo with oil or oatmeal in it. they sell them at local pet stores like petsmart/petco

My Yorkshire terrier has extremely dry hair and skin! Are there any natural things I can use to stop his itch?

ok...stop dont use dandruff shampoo you only going to make it worse! how many times to you bath her.....u dont need to bath her more then maybe 1 a month! also if hes itchy and so on...u need to take her to a vet to make sure it doesnt turn into anything else! but never use people shampoo on a dog! its not made for there skin. and if u bath her to much you will remove the oils in her skin! hope that help!

My Yorkshire terrier has extremely dry hair and skin! Are there any natural things I can use to stop his itch?

Dandruff shampoo is no good for dogs, the oils are essential. Get her on nuvet plus, it is guaranteed to take care of this. Try it before going to the vet, if it works, cool, if not, get your money back then go to the vet, see if you can do it the other way around, not likely.

My Yorkshire terrier has extremely dry hair and skin! Are there any natural things I can use to stop his itch?

Buy a special shampoo for dry skin. You may try to contact a local groomer and ask what they use.

Can anyone tell me how to help my dry hair ??

i have medium long curly/ wavy hair and i take care of it as much as possbile, i use a hair mask , i put leave in conditioner and i use hot oil treatments and i only use hair stying products like hair straighteners and blow dryers when i really really need to and my hair is still dry, wat can i do to help it?

Can anyone tell me how to help my dry hair ??

I use Organic, Virgin Unrefined Coconut Oil in my hair, whether it's wet or after it dries. It conditions it, makes it shiny %26amp; smooth %26amp; frizz free. I love it!

Can anyone tell me how to help my dry hair ??

Take a cup of skim milk and beat an egg into it. Beat the mixture until there's a consistent foam, and massage it into your hair and scalp. Leave it on for 5-10 minutes and rinse it out well. Do this twice a week, and you'll have smooth, shiny hair. I use this and it works so well.

If you don't want the mixture to be as watery, you can just beat 2 egg yolks together and leave the 'paste' in your hair for 10 minutes and rinse. This works, because the eggs have a lot of nutrients in them and they'll moisturize your hair and actually make it healthier. My stylist gave me both of these tips!

Can anyone tell me how to help my dry hair ??

Try a different conditioner, a lot of leave in conditioners dry out your hair, believe itor not. Try Avon dry end serum or Shine

Whenever I straighten/blow dry my hair it gets poofy!?

So when I straighten/blow dry my hair, it gets poofy, even air dry, I try everything and it dosen't work! Sooooooo Help???

Whenever I straighten/blow dry my hair it gets poofy!?

I'm assuming you have thick, curly hair (or very wavy).

First of all, you must make sure that your hair is well conditioned. You need to condition in the shower and also use a leave-in conditioner. There are also straightening creams that you apply to the hair. This will prevent the hair from frizzing out, and will also keep it from becoming horribly damaged. Also, you need a good quality hair dryer and straightening iron.

Here's what you should do once you step out of the shower:

1. Apply straightening cream/leave-in conditioner. Make sure you apply from the roots to the tips, evenly.

2. Blow dry: Make sure you have a round metallic brush. Heat it up with the blow dryer, and then run it through your hair, while leaving the blow dryer right above the brush. Drying in layers, carefully the first few times makes things easier. The straightening cream might steam a bit. Don't worry--your hair isn't burning. Your head should look very poofy at the end of this process.

3. Straighten your hair. Straighten small amounts of hair at a time. If you straighten larger amounts, or try to straighten too quickly, you will get uneven straightening, which will just cause the hair to look horrible.

If you still can't figure it out, it's definitely worth going to a stylist and shelling out the money once, to have her straighten it, and watch her technique. Most stylist are more than happy to help you out!

Whenever I straighten/blow dry my hair it gets poofy!?

You should try hair serum, and sometimes even the straightener can be the problem. Cheap straighteners sometimes dont straighten hair well and make it poof.

Whenever I straighten/blow dry my hair it gets poofy!?

Try using a straightening cream before, or using a leave in conditioner. Use a heat protectant, like tresemme spray. Also, angle the dryer so youre blowing it down along the strands, this closes the cuticles of the hair making it less prone to frizz. Blast it with a shot of cold air if you have it on your dryer. Use a shiny serum after, like kiwi blow silk or john frieda. Hope this helps!

Whenever I straighten/blow dry my hair it gets poofy!?

I use an anti-frizz serum. Also if you have curly hair you should use a difuser. If you are wanting straight hair then you should use a straightening iron that is ceramic. They are expensive for the good ones but they are better on your hair. Also you can try a little leave in conditioner.

Whenever I straighten/blow dry my hair it gets poofy!?

Get a better conditioner.

Whenever I straighten/blow dry my hair it gets poofy!?

Blow-drying/straightening your hair damages it, which will make it get really poofy. Try not to blow-dry or straighten it more than once a week, and use some really good conditioner.

How to Straighten your Hair With a Flat Iron

http://homebeautytips.blogspot.com/2007/...

Whenever I straighten/blow dry my hair it gets poofy!?

Always use straightening serum- I like Enjoy's straightener. Also, if you're using a hot iron, never EVER use it on completley dry hair.

If you're using a hair dryer and brush to straighten, use the Enjoy with Redkin's (#2) blow dry lotion. That stuff is amazing.

When you're done straightening, run a little Biosilk through your hair and use a touchable (or flexable) hold hairspray. I also use Alafaparf's shine spray- it smells amazing and makes your hair silky.

I know it sounds like a lot of product, but it's what I use on my hair and I have very thick, very wavy hair... and I can get it pin straight, frizz free, and touchably soft. =)

Best of luck =)

Whenever I straighten/blow dry my hair it gets poofy!?

Dry hair tends to be thin and rough so try washing less often .To prevent your hair from becoming dry and brittle, avoid using hot curling irons, bleaching and perming .Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.

It comes in a bottle that is clear plastic with a removable cap and dispenses like a shaving cream, but doesn't foam. It has a blue label with red writing. I hope this helps.

Whats a good shampoo for dry hair AND scalp???

i have very dry hair and a horribly dry scalp, i dont like head and shoulders or any harsh dandruff shampoos so im looking for something normal any suggestions? thanks!!!!!

Whats a good shampoo for dry hair AND scalp???

Redken all soft.....it has avocado oil in it to condition the hair and scalp

Head and sholders is a tar based product that causes the layers of your scalp to sluff off...it is VERY harsh

Whats a good shampoo for dry hair AND scalp???

head and shoulders

Whats a good shampoo for dry hair AND scalp???

Head and Shoulders works wonders!

It replenishes the hair and it makes your scalp less dandruffy. Also try Pantiene Pro-V if you got the dry scalp problem worked out. PPV is pretty good on dry hair.

Whats a good shampoo for dry hair AND scalp???

HEAD AND SHOULDERS WITH CONDITIONER- WORKS WELL

Whats a good shampoo for dry hair AND scalp???

Doo Gro Moisturizing Shampoo works wonders. It is a creamy shampoo that restores moisture to dry hair and promotes healthy growth. I use it about once a week and I have noticed a great deal of change. You also may want to try moisturizing with a feather light oil(or hairspray) at night or in the morning when styling. Doo Gro also has a hot oil treatment and conditioner that works pretty well.

Whats a good shampoo for dry hair AND scalp???

Pert Dandruff Control Plus Conditioner. If you rub it in and let it it sit for 15 minutes your hair and scalp will be less dry. It worked for me!

Whats a good shampoo for dry hair AND scalp???

There are several shampoos that contain coconut oil, and that moisturizes the scalp nicely.

Whats a good shampoo for dry hair AND scalp???

I know that you probably don't have the time to go around testing shampoos and conditioners, and you probably don't want to buy the expensive stuff, but I really mean this. Until I started using John Frieda shampoo (Although I hear Toni%26amp;Guy or TiGi Bedhead is better) my hair was a MESS.

You need a shampoo that is GENTLE on your hair and scalp. If your hair is squeaky clean after you shampoo it, THAT'S BAD. It means the shampoo is too harsh and dries your hair. In my experience, Dove works pretty well. But for people with naturally bad hair (:P) you need the heavy artillery.

John Frieda's Frizz Ease shampoo works, okay, but the Shine Release Shampoo and Conditioners seem to get you better results almost instantaneously. Be sure to use a LITTLE bit. The size of a dime. Too much shampoo is bad for your hair.

Now, it's important that you keep in mind that everyone has different hair, so results may differ, but I'm sure it will help. Remember that you MUST condition your hair. Leave it in for AT LEAST 3 minutes.

Try not to use too many hair products either. Look at the ingredients for anything that ends with "ohol". Alcohol dries out your skin FAST. If you don't want to go with JF, try finding shampoos (and more importantly, conditioners) with eggs, honey, almond (or other nuts) oil, coconut, or cocoa.

It's also good to remember that you need protein in your diet for healthy nails and hair. Try taking some vitamin supplements, or increasing your protein intake.

Oh, and remember to use a intense conditioner treatment once every week or two.

Whats a good shampoo for dry hair AND scalp???

Good question. Neutrogena sells a good shampoo that is called TGel which has the same purpose as head and shoulders but it's very gentle and works like regular shampoo. Another good one that works fantastic on dry anthing is Redken's All Soft shampoo and conditioner. It's pretty amazing stuff, but is a thick shampoo. You may want to go to your local beauty supply store and ask them for a sample before you commit to a whole bottle. It smells amazing, especially vs the Neutrogena stuff. Good luck!

Whats a good shampoo for dry hair AND scalp???

oooohhhhh i had this problem. I think Aussie Moisturizing shampoo does wonders

Whats a good shampoo for dry hair AND scalp???

Yes Head and Shoulders is gross, have you read the ingredients? And seen the weird color they make it.

My favorite shampoo and conditioners are by Aubrey Organics.

Their Honeysuckle %26amp; Rose is recomended for dry hair.

The other one I have tried was GBP.

Its quite expensive but you dont need all that much, they dont lather up as much as chemical shampoos but they still clean your hair leaving some of you scalps natural oils which is why your scalp may be dry because the other ones strip it completely.

Other things you might want to try are adding oils to your diet, such as flaxseed oil etc, you can mix it in your cereal or smoothies etc - its good for skin, nails and dry hair.

You can get Aubrey Organics in places like Wholefoods or on line at www.aubrey-organics.com

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

I'm a boy with short wavy/curly hair. My hair is at most 3 inches long. Is it possible to blow dry it straight?

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

i have curly hair , but its long so i use a straightenign iron . but shampoo and condition with herbal essence " dangerously straight" it will help you hair move in a fine line and smooth and revive your hair. after shampooing and conditioning , take a brush NOT A TOOTH COMB and blow dry it . if you want seriouly straight hair you dangerouly straight mouse before you blowdry thats if you want maxium results. well good luck !

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

you need a straigtening iron. yes even short hair needs it

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

yeah. Just wash it really good. And then go over it with a blow dryer until its as straight as you want it. Good luck!

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

not like...w/ a hairdryer. try using a straight iron.

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

hm, you could try. you have a run a comb through it while your blow drying.

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

Well i'll give you advice from a gurl, why do you want to straighten your hair. When dudes have curley hair they're hot!!!!!

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

What you need to do is use a coarse brush and pull on it while blow drying on it. Of course a flat iron works really well ike the wee chi or the .7" turbo chi =]

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

Get Biosilk and get a hairdryer and curler all in one. It looks like a round barrell. It won't curl your hair but it blow drys and creates heat which touches your hair on contact. Easier than brush and hairdryer. So instead of two items in hair you have 2 in 1 deal.

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

Get a hair straightner...

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

yes, get a small brush and as you pull through your hair straight with one hand use the other to blow dry.... keep doing this to small sections until its all straight. also there is blow dryers that have brushes attached to them so you can do it all in one motion.

Good luck.

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

possibly, but as a female, i use a flat iron to make my hair straight. if you are really wanting straight hair you can do one of two things .... see a stylist for a professional hair straightening, the other option is to buy a ladies perm kit and just apply the curling lotion ... once you have applied it, continue to comb your hair 'straight'. the lotion will relax your hair but you have to keep doing it for the time mentioned on the box. my honest opinion ... have it done professionally!

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

yah... if you take a like a brush and comb it straight as you are blow dryn it. that should work.

if you want my opinion if your a guy don't try to hard to hard to make your hair look good. I meen take care of it... but if it looks to girly... girls don't like it.

What would everybody consider the best dry hair shampoo?

reading reviews online is confusing business. some people give a product a 5 others give it a 1. I'm a boy and i've got thick hair and just curious if they are anybody out there who have have found anything that doesnt leave the hair greasy and actually works to improve the condition of dry itchy hair lol!

What would everybody consider the best dry hair shampoo?

Yes! Both my daughter and I have extremely dry hair. I went to Sally Beauty and bought a knock off of Paul Mitchell Leave in conditioner. It's not greasy, it doesn't have a strong smell either. After you shampoo and condition, towel dry your hair and put a small amount in your palm and rub it through your hair. I love the stuff!...it was about $6

What would everybody consider the best dry hair shampoo?

I swear by Redkens products - especially the one for dry/damaged hair. It's a bit expensive, but totally worth it. You don't use very much of it, and it leaves your hait perfect. I've been using it for about 5 years. Every time I try something else, I go right back to Redken.

What would everybody consider the best dry hair shampoo?

yes, redken is a very good name

but my hair at the moment is very damaged

my stylist went and got my protein for it by StrongSEXYHair

and it has made a huge difference in about a week

talk to your stylist and ask about it.

What is difference between dry, dull hair AND lifeless, limp hair?

Can you give me clear explantation of what is difference between 'em? I am confused by this because I have either dry or lifeless hair...

Please give me any links if you have one...thank you!

What is difference between dry, dull hair AND lifeless, limp hair?

dry, dull hair has lots of split ends, looks dry, and lacks luster. lifeless, limp hair looks flat meaning you need volume.

What is difference between dry, dull hair AND lifeless, limp hair?

dry means no moisture and limp lifeless means you can't do anything with it , its like unmanageable

What is difference between dry, dull hair AND lifeless, limp hair?

Dull, lifeless, and limp all mean the same thing-there's no volume whatsoever. Dry hair means there's no moisture.

What is difference between dry, dull hair AND lifeless, limp hair?

Dry hair is lifeless hair. Its lacking sebum , the skin and scalps normal lubrication

What is difference between dry, dull hair AND lifeless, limp hair?

Dry hair can be flat but it can also be frizzy hair. Dull hair is not shiny hair so usually when your hair is dry it is dull. Lifeless hair is usually oily and pretty much stuck to your head. Lifeless hair is thin and you cant really do anything with it. There are treatments for each of these problems but your right, you have to identify what your hair problem is first.

Will coconut oil make my dry hair more managable?

everytime i let my hair dry naturally, it becomes hard to manage!!!

will coconut oil help prevent this?

i always wanted that "wet look" on my hair not a big puffball

Will coconut oil make my dry hair more managable?

mix coconut oil and castor oil or almond oil.. heat it.. and apply it on ur scalp and hair.. after an hour or so.. wash it off.. ur hair will become smooth, think and manageable.. let it dry naturally

Will coconut oil make my dry hair more managable?

Applying small amounts of coconut oil to the hair helps to keep it soft and shiny. Using coconut oil for hair conditioner is a great, healthy idea. It not only softens the hair and leaves it shiny, it also leaves your scalp moisturized.

TIP #1- Make sure coconut oil for hair is kept in a warm place or it will freeze solid.

1. Applying coconut oil to wet hair is what works best. We suggest making the application after you get out of the shower. We recommend using Nakamal At Home's own Vanoi brand coconut oil for hair for the wet look.

2. Put a pea sized drop of Vanoi in one hand. Better to have too little than too much.

3. Evenly coat hands by rubbing them together.

4. Evenly run fingers through hair and rub coconut oil into hair. Using a comb to distribute oil through hair is also acceptable.

5. Repeat if desired.

TIP #2-?Do not use too much coconut oil in hair or your hair will look very greasy.?

You are obviously free to use any other method to apply the coconut to your hair. Many methods of application exist. The Long Hair Site?recommends using coconut oil to keep hair healthy and full of sheen.?If you accidently add too much coconut oil to your hair, don't worry, it will easily wash out next time.

Will coconut oil make my dry hair more managable?

It's the worst idea ever putting coconut in your hair. Don't you know coco oil is uncontrollable plus it spreads all over the skin. It smells horrid to if left on too long. and yes, in cold places it gets hard so that's another problem you should see coming.

coco should be use only on the body in cold weather it help block the harsh weather from turning your skin to alligator tracks. LOL

...its a B on B thing too.

also apply before going to the beach it protects your hair from the salty waters...

Will coconut oil make my dry hair more managable?

As long as you do not put it on your scalp. oil clogs the scalp and the scalp can not breath, again I stress to everyone that reads this answer rmosit is the key to health and beautiful hair.

In your case you should use a moist shampoo/condit this will help keep your hair more managable. And will leave a beautiful shine

Will coconut oil make my dry hair more managable?

that girl is right the 1st one who answer u. wait to ur hair dry naturally then apply cocunut oil, make sure u untangle ur hair. if ur hair is long u should put it in plait. because indians plait their hair so it wont be tangle. if u cant plait it comb out the tangles and when ur hair is dry put cocunut oil in ur hair. dont put it on ur scalp because oils can attract dirt

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

i want my hair to dry faster so i use a blowdryer but then my mom told me that it damages your hair, changes the color, and doesnt make your hair look as nice as before

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

Your only other option is to air dry. You could get one of those special towels for wrapping your wet hair in out of the shower. The material soaks up the water out of your hair and then hair air dries quicker. A wet-dry flat iron would work, but it's likely do more damage than a blow dryer.

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

It does, but if your dong that always use a heat daamge spray on ur hair and it will protect ur hair from having dry ugly hair!! I think everyone does that...and make sure you use teh perfect shampoo and condis aswell.

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

let it air dry

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

The best you can do is wait it out. As soon as you get out of the shower, squeeze your hair to get the majority of the moisture out. Run a comb through your hair, and then towel-dry it. That'll leave it slightly damp. If possible, go outside and wait in the sun. Every minute or so, comb your hair to make sure it dries evenly.

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

You can towel dry it, go outside in the heat. It drys quicker outside. Other than that I don't think there is. Some hair straigteners dry and stragiten at the same time.

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

It's called air drying... towel dry your hair, spray on a protectant spray and comb it into the style you want then let the air dry it.

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

oh yes, use your towel and dry the much you can. then allow the air to do the rest.

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

You could try what my hairstylist does. After washing he applies hair products, combs through, and then I Pre-

dry under the hair dryer (the kind you sit under), for about 20 minutes. Then he'll blow dry. It may take longer but the damage isn't being done to the hair because the actual blow drying time is shorter.

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

Obviously you could air dry it, but you could try using a fan. The wind being blasted at you is cold, so no heat damage. But dont get too close and be careful. You dont want your hair to get caught in it!

You could also blowdry your hair using cool instead of warm/hot.

Most hairdryers have that option of cool air.

Good luck!

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

I usually wrap my hair in a towel for 10 minutes, so its not as wet, and the towel absorbs the water, then comb it out and air dry it! Hope this helps!

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

run....or dance around and let air pass through it :) :)

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

towel dry

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

just use a towel

What prducts are best for dry hair?

even though I'm sure that you are not black.....You should probably get some pantene relaxed and natural moisturizing shampoo (this stuff will moisturize your hair so good) and the moisture will stay in.

What prducts are best for dry hair?

head %26amp; shoulder is nice product for dry hair

What prducts are best for dry hair?

Activate Hydrating Conditioner, Jessicurl Too Shea, Jessicurl Aloeba, Elucence Moisture Balancing Conditioner are all very good at giving your hair the moisture that it needs without coating it in silicones. Coconut oil and jojoba oil are really good to use as deep treatments. Just rub some in you hair and let it soak in for a while, the longer the better.

What's the best way to dry your hair?

I usually wash my hair early in the morning so that wet hair doesn't bother me when im going to bed. I wear braids and i dread washing my hair because it takes so long for it to dry. I have a hair dryer but it doesnt seem to work effectively. It is old but will a new one work better?

Thanks for answering and have a nice day!

What's the best way to dry your hair?

If you are concerned about the health of your hair, you should never do the following:

1. Towel dry - the rubbing motion causes the hair to tangle and knot and as you brush out the knots, sometimes the hair will break off or result in split ends.

2. Braid it - unless it's a loose braid, your hair will kink and break off when its brushed.

3. Blow dry with really hot heat - use a diffuser (which just disperses the air/heat out over more hair) and try the trick of just drying the roots with your head upside down as others have mentioned.

I had very long thick hair for 15 years and that is what I found worked best.

What's the best way to dry your hair?

Time for a replacement hair dryer. Best way to dry your hair is upside down.

What's the best way to dry your hair?

I use a hair dryer and it doesn't take all that long. It depends on the thickness of your hair. Talk to your hair stylist for tips that are specific to your hair. A newer dryer might help though.

What's the best way to dry your hair?

well obviously a new one will be better but becarefull as heat does damage hair you can now buy a spray that protects the hair from heat while you dry it

What's the best way to dry your hair?

It is best to let your hair dry naturally, however, there are plenty of hairdryers that do not dry out your hair. Babyliss is a good make.

What's the best way to dry your hair?

My hair is the same so I always wash it with plenty of time for it to almost dry totally and then I just finish it off with a dryer so it goes straight. I do have a good dryer though and it sounds like you need one too. I also dry my hair upside down starting at the roots.

What's the best way to dry your hair?

For height and volume, dry your hair upsde down. For smoothness dry it down with your fingers. I'd recommend a Tigi Hardcore Hairdryer - they are really good!

What's the best way to dry your hair?

Prehaps a more powerful hair dryer? The more expensive 'salon' type ones tend to cost more but work more effiently

If not than rubbing a towel fast causes heat from friction and dries your hair between 3-4 minutes.

If all else fails than you could just leave it to dry naturally!

What's the best way to dry your hair?

Get a new hair dryer and dont always use it. Air dry your hair once in a awhile coz a hair dryer can damage your hair.

And when drying do sections of hair at a time and pull the rest back. That way you know every part of your hair gets attention when blow drying it and it all will dry : )

Good luck

What's the best way to dry your hair?

Towel dry for a while then let it air dry

What's the best way to dry your hair?

A long time a go I gave up using heat on my hair for anything... other than going out into the yard and walking around in the sun awhile. Heat is very d amaging and end-splitting, especially over time. I got looking at older women and noticing how most of them seemed to have "thin hair" I figured it had to be a lot to do with too much washing, too much heat drying, and probably too much going under the dryer at the Beauty Shop. What you might do is get a new dryer, and then blow your hair on the cool/warm setting, after you have kept your hair towel-wrapped a while to suck out most of the moisture.

What's the best way to dry your hair?

Definitely time for a new hairdryer. I couldn't imagine leaving my hair to dry naturally. I'd look like a haystack.

The best way to use a hairdryer depends on your hair type. For flat hair, dry it up-side down. For thick/frizzy hair, like mine, dry it from above with hairdyer pointing down the hair shaft. Use some protective heat spray or serum to minimise damage and get a hairdryer with a cold shot option.

What's the best way to dry your hair?

Well blow dryers can be an ultimite damage. I have that problem, when i dry my hair it get's to dry and then i get split ends. But since it seems that it's not working at all on your hair; (just the opposite of me), then maybe you need another brand. The brand i have is conair, which seems to work very effectively! But then you might have my problem with getting to much dry hair. Just if you do get conair brand then don't turn it up on max. keep it at low or medium. Then it should solve your problem :)

What's the best way to dry your hair?

Thr first thing is to towel dry with a really good absorbent towel. Leave the towel on your head for a few minutes, no longer than 5 or 10 so it blots out excess water.

Discard your old hair dryer and buy a newer one. Look at the extent of the elements in the hair dryer. Choose one where there is a larger surface of the heating coils for your money. Check its fan mechanism too. That may be harder in the stores becaue they dont allow you to test it. If you trust one brand over another, then you can go by the reputation.

What's the best way to dry your hair?

Try to get a Tourmauline hair dryer. These work with Ion and do a great and fast job in drying your hair without damaging it.

What's the best way to dry your hair?

You shouldn't use a hair dryer! You'll end up in having straw-like hair!

What to do with super dry hair?

Okay - I totally fried my hair with bleach. I know, next time I'll go to a salon. We've trimmed a lot of it off, but now I have "COTTON CANDY" hair. It's so dry and if I pull it straight up, it stays there!! I just started doing protein packs once a week, but need a MOISTURIZING remedy that I can just pack on daily or weekly that will work a miracle. Otherwise, it's chop, chop time. Willing to make own, or buy whatever it takes.

Many thanks, no bald jokes please, I feel bad enough! :-)

What to do with super dry hair?

phytotherie leave in moisturizing creme..they make an excellent range of products for hair that is very dry.

sephora carries their products.

What to do with super dry hair?

I know this sounds gross, but try mayonaise.

What to do with super dry hair?

use a good moisturizer and think about vitamin supplements

What to do with super dry hair?

There is two products that you could use. One is called Biosilk and the other is Chi Silk Infusion. They both are excellent in moisterizing the hair. You run it through after you wash it and leave it and it should help. Good luck.

What to do with super dry hair?

you should try Garnier Fructis shampoo. The bottles are green, buy the one for dry and unmanageable hair. This should help out.

What to do with super dry hair?

Ooo, been there and done that one.

I'd recommend a conditioner which is called (don't freak) Henna and Placenta. It's a really deep conditioner and it works VERY well. If you can't find it at the drugstore try a beauty supply place like Sally's. You can leave it on your hair and slightly heat treat it by a low heat hair dryer while it sits. It will leave your hair very moisturized and soft. You can also find a good conditioner that isn't too greasy or thick and put a little on before you go to bed and leave it in as a treatment during the night like Aussie or perhaps a salon brand that's meant for deep conditioning.

Unfortunately, you (and I) have learned the hard way home highlighting and bleaching kits are bad for your hair. You may just have to wait it out till it grows or cut it.

Don't fret too much. Shorter hairstyles are "in" and if you need to cut the burned stuff off go find a hairstyle book and go for a "new you." Plus, short hair is usually easier to style. I love mine.

Good Luck!

My daughter has thin, coarse, dry hair (not curly) like myself. I don閳ユ獩 know what to do?

My daughter has thin, coarse and dry hair (not curly) like myself. She閳ユ獨 2 yrs old and I don閳ユ獩 know what to do with it. I know I want to keep it natural, she閳ユ獨 still a baby and she閳ユ獨 tinder headed. I閳ユ獫e had a problem with my own hair for years. Anything I do to it, it would fall out and grow back, it閳ユ獨 a never ending cycle. She閳ユ獨 too young for me to press it. I have to braid it when she閳ユ獨 asleep. I閳ユ獡 wearing mine in a big puff pony tail now, but hers I think I need to keep braided so I won閳ユ獩 pull it out by brushing every day. I閳ユ獫e bought a lot of Carol閳ユ獨 Daughter product, but I think that閳ユ獨 more for African Americans with unmanageable curls. HELP!!!

My daughter has thin, coarse, dry hair (not curly) like myself. I don閳ユ獩 know what to do?

"MAIN AND TAIL" shampoo is a shampoo you can buy over the counter and does WONDERS for hair. It promotes healthy hair growth, so your daughter should try this for a month or two.

I would also buy the Conditioner as well.

It was originally intended for horses - but they found humans benefit greatly and thus market it to the public and is very safe! and not expensive.

Walmart carries it - just look for a bottle with a horse on it. If this fails to produce healthy hair after 2 -Months use, you may want to take her to a Hair Care professional (hair dresser).

EXTRA Tip - be sure she eats Jello (hopefully she likes it) as it promotes hair growth rapidly and should (in theory) in unison with the Horse %26amp; Tail Shampoo and conditioner grow the hair out enough to show results. Just trim off the course dead ends as the hair grows.

My daughter has thin, coarse, dry hair (not curly) like myself. I don閳ユ獩 know what to do?

Pantene Classic shampoo and conditioner..and an inexpensive spray on serum...

or as mentioned Mane and Tail products..but get a serum smoother to add after

My daughter has curly and dry hair any suggestions?

My daugher is african american and white. Her hair is so dry and very curly. We have tried every product out there. She likes it flat ironed and it seems like it gets more dry when we do that, also she hates when it gets "poofy" . Can anyone help?

My daughter has curly and dry hair any suggestions?

try a good serum and try not to flat iron so much also use a african american moisturizer like cantu or dark and lovely

My daughter has curly and dry hair any suggestions?

I have 2 mixed children myself and i am a hairdresser, only wash her hair once a week and yes a flat iron will do nothing but damage more and more. I use Pink Oil Moisturizer everyday and u have to use alot and if u do want to flat iron get you some hot iron protecting spray and u cant get this at a store it does have to be a beauty store. Try that and see how it works.

My daughter has curly and dry hair any suggestions?

I am also mixed and face the same problems I've found that natural products like essential oils such as rosmary, lavendar and jojoba really help when added to my shampoo just remember that they can be really potant so only add a little! Also she should take a break fom the flat iron from time to time the heats only making her hair worse

My daughter has curly and dry hair any suggestions?

Conditioner is the key!!! Make sure that wehen your daughter uses conditioner while in the shower, to leave it on for about 3-5 minutes. I would also suggest a deep conditiong once a week for 20 minutes.

My daughter has curly and dry hair any suggestions?

Conditioning and hot oil treatments - both can be done at home. 1-2 times a week for each, but not at the same time, do either:

Wash and put conditioner on it. Coat the hair, comb through, and wear a plastic shower cap for about 20-25 minutes. The shower cap helps the hair shaft open with the heat from the scalp (body heat), and the shaft can absorb the conditioner. Or use a hooded dryer for 10 minutes. Rinse.

Warm hair oil - any kind that has good oils in it - on a hot plate, or over stove heat. Microwaves separate the molecules, and the oil is no longer helpful. Apply the hair and put on shower cap for about 10 minutes. Don't put a lot because you won't rinse this.

Hop this helps!!!

My daughter has curly and dry hair any suggestions?

Please take it from me!! My momma is white im mixed and when i was younger i had the same problem. Use a mist moisterizer try nubian heritages shea butter mousterizing mist works great softens and detangles. To style it natural: fill a spritz bottle with warm water Section her hair into 6 sections Spritz each section evenly until moistened use a wide tooth comb to comb each secftion after its spritzed to create seperat waves/curls then Spritz hair sections one by one evenly with the moisterizer being cautious not to unravel or lossen any curl/wave section next flip her head so the curls hang freely as to remove the parted lines Next rub a grape sized amount of flexible conditioning gel ( Lets Jam) in your hand and through her upside down head coating the entier head wrap hair in a towel for 15-20 minutes and remove!!!!!! sounds like alot but doesnt take long and you get better with practice on what works with your head and what dosent ....Hope this helps!!!

My daughter has curly and dry hair any suggestions?

try a defrizzing serum or hair lotion . I have frizzy hair to and it works for me.

My daughter has curly and dry hair any suggestions?

- Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten curly hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage curly hair- be happy for life!

-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sodium lauryl sulfate or anything close to that). They dry out curly hair. Conditioner can aptly be used to wash the scalp and hair.

- I don't know much about that specific type of curly hair (I am caucasian and probably do not have the same hair texture), so I couldn't recommend many good products. Do stay away from silicones products if your daughter decides to stop shampooing because they cause build up. Check out naturally curly and curly girl for specific products and routines. Hope this helps!

I have super dry hair?

my hair is really really dry and i don't want it to be like that for school which starts in a litle less than 2 weeks. i really don't want to go out and buy any products i pretty much just want some home remedies that you guys kno.

I have super dry hair?

Okie, I have a good one. You'll need 1 ripe banana, 2 teaspoons of honey a large bowl, wooden spoon, plastic wrap, and an old towel. Squish up the banana in the bowl, and add the honey. Stir it well. Shampoo your hair as usual and put the mixture into your damp hair. Wrap your hair in the plastic wrap. Wrap the towel around the plastic wrap to trap the heat. Relax for ten minutes and then rinse well and dry your hair as usual.

It'll really moistuize your hair and leave it smelling good :]

I have super dry hair?

I had super dry hair too! Just use Herbal Essence "Hello Hydration- Coconut Milk" and also Biosilk. I promise it does the trick.

I have super dry hair?

Try using a flat iron called Maxiglide! Works wonders!

Go to hsn.com and type in maxiglide! A great invention for hair!!

I have super dry hair?

Try using sun silk conditioner and shampoo, plus don't use the blowdryer to dry your hair when you don't need to, let your hair airdry. If it continues to stay dry I would consult a hair specialist.

I have super dry hair?

first of all, always use a conditioner when you wash...second , try a deep treatment once a week. after you shampoo, towel dry, put on conditioner, wrap in plastic wrap and go about your business for a few hours. then rinse. make sure you aren't headed anywhere because your hair will have no volume that day. or...age old home remedies...mayo. vs regular conditioner. works well...smells bad. same application as the deep treatment...just watch the smell. it is a protein and that's why it helps.

I have super dry hair?

Ok... home remedy - try taking some raw eggs, whip them up and apply to your hair. Leave it on for about an hour. It WILL stink but it will nourish your hair. Repeat that 2 - 3 times a week. You should saturate your hair.

Aloe is another option. Peel the skin off of the aloe and rub into your hair. Make sure your hair is damp when you begin. This is a less stinky option and will do the same trick as eggs.

Now... if you're to buy things - I recommend Origin's hair products. They are 100% natural and will do wonders. But it will cost money, unless you already have some at home.

I have little dry hair, after shampooing i apply conditoner, but the whole day it does not stay smoo

Hi This is Deepthi,I have little dry hair after shampooing i apply conditoner, but the whole day it does not stay smooth, please help

I have little dry hair, after shampooing i apply conditoner, but the whole day it does not stay smooth?

Our hair's dryness (or the lack of it) is determined by the amount of natural oil that our scalp secretes.

So if the natural oil isn't enough, the hair tends to become rough.

i suggest u try using softer shampoos and avoid conditioners, and brush your hair, from the roots to the tips, cos that helps in the proper circulation of th natural oil, try it once

I have little dry hair, after shampooing i apply conditoner, but the whole day it does not stay smooth?

A generous oil application and massage is recommended before washing the hair. Frequent shampooing is harmful for dry hair. Sometimes lack of nutrients can also cause dry brittle hair. Take a multivitamin and mineral supplement on a daily basis. Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.

my hair has a natural kink. when u see celebrities with big and extremely loose waves that is how my hair is but when i dry it i have to brush it and then it becomes straight. when i brush my hair in general the waves go away. is there something i can do or use to make my hair its natural way and stay like that all day long?

My hair is naturally wavy and i can never get the waves to stay,if i dry my hair it will become straight.?

okay girl listen to me. since you have wavy hair you should NOT brush your hair k? just after you take a shower and its wet, brush your hair, but after that do NOT brush it because your wavyness will go away. you can either a.) let your hair air dry and apply moose (i suggest herbal essence or fructis) and scrunch or b.) you can dry your hair without a brush a bit and then apply moose and SCRUNCH!

My hair is naturally wavy and i can never get the waves to stay,if i dry my hair it will become straight.?

use moose and gel and scrunch it. do not brush it after you scrunch it

My hair is naturally wavy and i can never get the waves to stay,if i dry my hair it will become straight.?

don't brush it after you've blow dried it. use gel to scrunch it. then add some hair spray to make sure it will last.

My hair is naturally wavy and i can never get the waves to stay,if i dry my hair it will become straight.?

First don't brush your hair. Use a hair pick. Try using Tresemme hair product shaping milk for curls. If you blow dry your hair use a diffuser and scrunch while you dry. Than use a light hair spray and scrunch again.

My hair is naturally wavy and i can never get the waves to stay,if i dry my hair it will become straight.?

i have the same type of hair. when my hair is still wet when i get out of the shower, i loosely braid my hair in 4 braids with gel. when i wake up in the morning, i just take out the braids, wet it, and put gel it in.

How can I blow dry my hair without looking like I'm from the 80s?!?!?

My hair is thick and poofy and a mixture of african american and caucasian. When I blow dry it, it gets GIANT (believe me, it literally poofs about 9 inches to a foot off my head! ). How can I prevent this?? I dont always have 2 hours to flat iron it. Do I just frizz creme and a round brush or something? WHAT DO I DO?!?!

How can I blow dry my hair without looking like I'm from the 80s?!?!?

First don't flip your hair upside down and blow dry! That gives it volume which you don't need. Try a round brush or even a regular brush, blow your hair under not out. Frizz cream can help too just don't use too much otherwise it will get oily looking. If you want to do a curly style, add some moose or gel and blow dry on low. I hope this helps if you need anything else just ask!

How can I blow dry my hair without looking like I'm from the 80s?!?!?

Do not brush it. Crunch dry it with your hands by lightly grabbing handfuls and allowing the dryer to dry around it.

How can I blow dry my hair without looking like I'm from the 80s?!?!?

i also agree

How can you do a doobie wrap on dry hair.?

I just got my hair streaked with a semi permanant. So I got a wrap and I really wanted a doobie wrap but I had to pay extra. So how can I do a doobie wrap on dry hair so I won't take my hair color out? Or do it with wetting the center with a spray bottle?

How can you do a doobie wrap on dry hair.?

Doobie Wrap

You can't doobie wrap dry hair. You will have to wet it first. i usually do it after I shampoo %26amp; condition my hair

Roller set your hair. (wet set) plastic rollers with the vented barrel is needed.

Dry under a hooded dryer or you can use a blow dryer but it takes longer.

Take out rollers.

Then comb or brush your hair in a wrap. Smoothing your hair as your go around.

Leave wrapped hair in for a 3 to 4 hours

Then unwrap it.

Loose curls.

How can you do a doobie wrap on dry hair.?

yeaaa.

How can you do a doobie wrap on dry hair.?

To do the roller wrap set, also know as the doobie, you will need to roller set your hair, dry it under a hooded dryer, take the rollers out, then comb/brush your hair around in a wrap). Leave it wrapped for a while and when you comb it down, you will have big loose wavy curls with lots of body.

How can you do a doobie wrap on dry hair.?

Well my fiance` is black so let me tell you what she does. She parts her hair like she going to put it in four ponytails two in front and two in back. Then she takes then she takes the front two and brush the forward and takes the back two and brush them backwards thus leaving a horizontal part from ear to ear. Then she takes the back and brushes the whole thing to the left until it reaches the front then she take the whole front and brushes it to til it reaches the back and continues brushing around in a circle til' is completely "wrapped" I believe the term is. NO WATER but she does use oil sheen or Extra Virgin Olive Oil that she has put in a spray bottle.

warm up some olive oil in the micro, not too hot, get an old towel, put the olive oil in your hair and wrap hair in the towel for 20 mins. then wash hair as usual. also beer works, rinse your hair with it and then wash as usual. And if you really want to be messy but it works great, raw eggs and beer mixed, put on hair, wrap in old towel for 20 mins. rinse in cool water or eggs will cook in your hair (yucck!). and believe it or not, mayonnaise works great too, as it is eggs and oil. same method, put on hair, wrap in towel, let it sit for 20 mins., wash afterwards.

I have really dry hair that is not shiny and sounds like something rubbing on sandpaper...what is a natural?

olive oil... get some good extra virgin olive oil. i know this sounds disgusting but it works for the shine part. what you do is wash your hair with shampoo only dont use conditioner, before that put a towel in the dryer to make it a little hot. after you rinse the shampoo towel dry it just a little to remove all the dripping water. then put a good amount of olive oil on your hair and cover your hair with the hot towel and leave on for 15 minutes. it will take time to take it off (shampoo once and then condition it). some people like to keep the olive oil in for the entire night but i hear thats bad coz too much olive oil too many times might cause hair loss (little bit) so only do this once a month

I have really dry hair that is not shiny and sounds like something rubbing on sandpaper...what is a natural?

1. drown your hair with olive oil or corn oil

2. Place a cap or plastic bag on your head for an hour

3. Rinse your hair with only water ( no shampoo)

There are several things that could have caused your problem. You need to change your haircolor, if you color your hair. Try Garnier Nutrisse. Any god remedies for really dry brittle hair?

Whan i straighten my hair it ends up being smoothish!! But if i leave it to dry natural %26amp; don't do anything to it, it ends up ben really dry %26amp; brittle. I dont want to keep straightening my hair, coz i know it s bad for it... so i would like to leave it natural sometimes without it looking so dryed up!!

Any god remedies for really dry brittle hair?

Here is a home remedy regimen for dry hair:

Use mayonnaise: Use a dollop of mayonnaise on the palm of the hand and massage it to the head and leave it on for five minutes before having the bath. The recommended time for the mayonnaise treatment is an hour.

Spray the beer: If you do not get any relief from using the mayonnaise, you can use beer as a good setting lotion that gives your hair the crisp, healthy and shiny look. You can pour some beer into an empty pump bottle and spray on the hair after shampooing and towel dry. Then you can style or blow-dry the hair.

Shampoo minimally: choose a shampoo for dry, damaged hair.

Condition your hair: Conditioner glues cuticles back to the shaft and lubricates them. It also prevents static electricity, thus preventing its frizzy appearance.

Cut off the split ends: Every six weeks or so

Any god remedies for really dry brittle hair?

Use coconut oil, or sesame oil or grapeseed oil in hair overnight and wash out in morning.

What you need is a good deep conditioning treatment, like a hairmask, something you leave in for 20 min and then wash out. You can also get a deep conditioning treatment at a salon.

What are the best shampoos for very dry frizzy hair?

my hair is straight, but goes mega frizzy when it just been washed and feels ver rough and dry, I want my hair nice soft and shiny and silky but my hair goes complete opposite can someone recommed a good tips please!

What are the best shampoos for very dry frizzy hair?

Redken has a shampoo/conditioner/styling cream that contains macadamian nut oil. I live in the desert and the air is very dry. So I used that and my hair was nice and smooth. I think this particular one is called Smooth and Sleek or something like that. But try the travel size first and see how you like it.

What are the best shampoos for very dry frizzy hair?

Use vive shampoo they have stuff for dry frizzy hair

What are the best shampoos for very dry frizzy hair?

I would recommend the Redken "All Soft" line of shampoos and conditioners. The All Soft contains Avacado Oil which is very moisturizing to dry and brittle hair. It is particularly good for ethnic hair but works great on any type. I wouldn't recommend this product if you have very fine hair as the moisture in it will weigh down fine hair. The shampoo and conditioner can be used daily and I would also recommend using the Heavy Cream or Addiction Hair Transformer as a weekly deep conditioning treatment.

What are the best shampoos for very dry frizzy hair?

i heard redken does wonders.

or just try putting some kind of straightening serum in your hair and then blow drying it out.

When you take the pic to the stylist, have him (or her) show you how. That way you can actually watch it being done %26amp; also he can tell you what products to use too

(10 ez pts) How do I blow dry my hair to achieve this style?

Just use a brush or comb and comb your hair straight while blow drying. You can use some volume mousse (it will give you some volume without the crunchiness of gel mousse). Or you can also use a dab of hair way or serum. Comb your fingers through the hair to finish.

I have some serious problem with my dry hair!!!!!?

I have dry and curly hair... I dont konw what to do against the dryness... It really is dry... I used conditioner but it only helps little (I guess it helps )... Can you help me ??? Is it because I have curly hair?? Can I straighten my hair without harming it ??

I have some serious problem with my dry hair!!!!!?

Not if it's that dry, no, you shouldn't straighten it. You'll do even more damage than you would be doing, anyway.

Besides, why would you want to straighten it? You wind up looking either emo or metrosexual.

Do yourself a favor and buy a moisturizing shampoo. Or, alternatively, do some research on ways to clean your hair without shampoo; a friend of mine has cruly hair and swears by the "no shampoo" method.

Rinse your hair in cold water and use only the conditioner.

Good luck, hope that helps!

I have some serious problem with my dry hair!!!!!?

Try soaking dry hair with olive oil for like half an hour. Then rinse and shampoo as normal.

I have some serious problem with my dry hair!!!!!?

If it is extremely dry i do not recommend straightening your hair right now. If it is long maybe et is pretty short to help. try to find a very mosturizing conditioner maybe go for a more organic prodcut.

Good luck

What does oily hair and dry hair shampoo do to your hair?

the shampoo's are more aimed at the scalp, thats where the oils come from.

shampoo for oily hair usually have an astringent to dry excessive oils on the scalp.

shampoo for dry hair is usually mild, to prevent overdrying the scalp.

if u have oily scalp, go to a salon and get Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo.

if u have dry hair, go to a salon and purchase Nexxus Therapee shampoo.

Do NOT use store bought oils and conditioners on ur hair/scalp.

What does oily hair and dry hair shampoo do to your hair?

The shampoo for oily hair has more detergeant in it to dry up the natural oils, and the dry hair shampoo has less because your hair needs a gentler shampoo.

If your hair is really dry, try an hot oil hair treatment once a month this helps your hair from breaking and also helps stop split ends.

My favourite shampoo right now is Panteene Pro-V.

But if you want straight hair this is what works for me;

Let you hair dry naturally, brushing periodically.

You must put some product in your hair in order to protect your hair from damage. I use an aerosol shine enhancer.

Blow dry your hair straight.

I always curl the ends, it keeps your ends looking good.

How do you get your hair to air dry straight?

How To Straighten Your Hair

Here's how:

1)Wash and condition hair. Blot dry. Hair should be almost dry when you begin.

2)Gather up hair into several sections and secure or clip hair on top of your head. You will be drying the bottom layers first.

3)Follow the brush (with your dryer) down the sections of hair as you straighten each section and be sure to keep the dryer moving.

4)Take down a new section of hair and procede as directed above.

5)Work your way up the layers until all sections are dried and straightened.

6)To curl the ends for a polished look, take your brush and pull the ends under. Finish your styling with a blast of cool air if your hairdryer has this capability.

Tips:

Be sure to condition your hair often. Sun, cold temperatures plus the use of your hair dryer can be hard on your hair. For best results, use products formulated for your hair type. It does make a difference. Give your hair a break and allow it to dry naturally as often as possible. Have split ends snipped every six weeks to two months to ensure that they don't travel up the hair shaft.

If Your Hair Is Curly:

Since your hair is prone to dryness, use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

After washing, gently blot hair dry with an absorbent towel and apply 4 to 6 drops of silicone-based shine serum (the thicker your hair, the more you can use).

Detangle hair with fingers, and allow it to air dry.
